Artemis - Effortless Ruffle Maxi Dress

I like how loose and airy this feels without looking shapeless. The pockets are a very handy touch.

The blue is easy to wear with tan sandals and the ruffle neckline gives it a bit more interest than my usual plain maxi dresses.

Wore this for a Saturday lunch and stayed comfortable all afternoon. It has plenty of room through the body.

I went up one size as suggested and it was the right choice. The fit is relaxed once you get the sizing right.

This has become an easy weekend option for me. The cotton-linen feel is light and breathable, and I really appreciate having proper side pockets. I usually add flat sandals and a long necklace and I’m done.

I bought the green and it’s a lovely muted shade. The ruffles around the V-neck make it look a bit dressed up while the rest of the dress is very relaxed. I’ve worn it for coffee with friends and also just doing errands.

I packed this for a short Queensland trip because it works with very little styling. It was comfortable walking around during the day and didn’t feel clingy in the heat. After a gentle wash I hung it to dry and it came up nicely.

The fabric feels pleasant and the loose A-line shape is very comfortable. I ordered my normal size first and found the top a little smaller than expected, so I’d definitely follow the advice to size up. Once I had the right size, I was happy with it.

I’m at the stage where I want dresses that are comfortable but still look like I’ve made an effort, and this one does that well. The flutter sleeves sit nicely on my shoulders and the V-neck is flattering without feeling too fussy. I wore the black one to a family lunch with sandals and simple jewellery. The pockets were useful for my phone and keys. It also has enough room through the middle that I didn’t feel restricted after lunch. I washed it on a cold gentle cycle and hung it up, and it dried well.

I chose the white for a summer holiday and was pleased that the fabric didn’t feel overly thin. The cotton-linen blend is much nicer in warm weather than some of the synthetic dresses I own. The cut is loose through the body, which I find very forgiving. I paired it with brown slides during the day and a nicer sandal for dinner. The ruffle detail means it doesn’t need much jewellery. Mine washed well on a gentle cold wash and I simply hung it to dry.

I bought the grey because I wanted something neutral that could work for more than one occasion. I’ve worn it to brunch, the shops and a casual birthday gathering already. It has a relaxed shape but the ruffled neckline stops it looking too plain. The side pockets are deeper than I expected and genuinely useful. I sized up one size and it sits comfortably across the bust and shoulders. For me it’s one of those dresses that’s easy to throw on when I don’t want to think too hard about an outfit.

Took the red Artemis away for a long weekend and wore it twice, which says a lot because I usually overpack. It was comfortable for walking around markets in the morning and still looked nice enough for an early dinner. The loose A-line cut gives plenty of movement and I like that the length doesn’t drag on the ground. The fabric has a natural, slightly textured look rather than being overly crisp. I gave it a gentle wash when we got home, hung it on a hanger and didn’t bother ironing it. I’d happily wear this through most of spring and summer.
